Bangladesh Family, also known as BD Book, began with a mission to connect communities digitally across every district and upazila in Bangladesh.
JoulesLabs partnered with the founders to build a hyperlocal community platform that bridges information gaps, enabling people to share and discover jobs, tuition opportunities, housing, matrimony, and local business updates in one unified space.

Bangladesh lacked a structured, trustworthy platform to organize community-level information. People relied on Facebook groups, word of mouth, and fragmented sources for essential updates.
The key challenges were:
- Lack of centralized local community infrastructure
- Information scattered across thousands of unmoderated groups
- No digital ecosystem connecting districts and subdistricts
- Limited trust and safety in existing online communities
The goal was to build a community platform designed for scale, moderation, and relevance to local needs.
